As Kelly's mother I feel I must vindicate myself. I did indeed tell her that carob was like chocolate, but in my defense, she wasn't the most adventurous eater in the pack. I did get her to eat seaweed by telling her it was just black noodles. So the carob one didn't work--who's to know? You win some you lose some. After all, that's the way they got me to eat it. As it turns out, I don't really like chocolate so I was pleasantly surprised.

I checked out the links and found some very helpful information. To start with, I will fertilize the tomatoes and check the roots to make sure they are happy and not to wet. Hopefully I will be eating ripe red tomatoes again soon. Thanks Patiofarmer!

Not sure how to load photo, so will explain to the best of my ability. The small stems on the plant have lost their buds. The only thing that is left if the end of the stem. I have tomatoes in three pots on my porch and two of them have lost their buds. I looked for signs of tomato worm but didn't find a worm. Didn't see any bugs on the plants either. Something must be coming out at night. HELP......I love fresh tomatoes.

PortlandCat: a photo of the damage, that is.
patiofarmer on Tuesday 16 June 2009 - 19:09:18
PortlandCat: oh no! Can you tell what it might be? Otherwise, either upload a photo to a forum post or just email it to me and I'll try to find out what it could be and how to get rid of it.
